José Moreira de Sousa

I hold a Bachelors degree in Physics (2009) and a Masters degree in Physics (2012) from the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), as well as a Ph.D. in Physics (2016) from the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics (IFGW), Department of Applied Physics (DFA), at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). I completed postdoctoral research at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI, 2016/2018), the Federal University of Ceará (UFC, 2017), the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics (IFGW/DFA-UNICAMP, 2023), and the University of Brasília (UnB, 2025). In addition, I attended an extension course in Materials, Structures, and Intelligent Systems at the University of Trento (UNITN), Italy, in 2014. I currently serve as a Professor of Basic, Technical, and Technological Education at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piauí (IFPI), Campus São Raimundo Nonato. My teaching activities include secondary (high school) education as well as undergraduate programs in Mathematics and Physics. I am active reviewer for 38 high-impact international scientific journals, providing expert peer review and critical evaluation of research manuscripts in Advanced Aerospace Engineering, Advanced Civil Engineering, Advanced Mechanical Engineering, Nanoscience, Nanotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. I also serve as a project reviewer for major Brazilian research funding agencies, including the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the Research Support Foundation of the Federal District (FAPDF), the Institutional Program for Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC/CNPq-IFPI), and the Research Support Foundation of the State of Piauí (FAPEPI). My current research focuses on advanced topics in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, with an emphasis on innovative materials and interdisciplinary applications.
